Journey Map Board

Drafting Tool for Journey Mapping

Ready. Seven stages, one story — the map builds as we go.
How to use this tool
  1. Seven stages run along the top. Open one to work in it — the arrow keys walk the stages from the keyboard, and “Next stage” under the board moves us along.
  2. Each stage starts with what customers told us — their words, as they said them. At the two stages where no voice reached us, we add what we’d want to know.
  3. “+ Add what we heard” adds a card: pick what kind it is, write it, then make the call — Evidence if a record shows it, Inference if it’s our best guess. Questions don’t get labelled as evidence or inference.
  4. Cards stack by kind (evidence, inference, or question). You can take back the last card or start a fresh map with the buttons at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Once cards are on the board, build the map page and open it in its own tab — it shows the map at a glance, then every stage in full.

The map page

We’re creating a journey map. Once we add our summaries, tag the type of data we logged, and add our questions, they enter the map. Use the button below to build the map page and explore our journey map.
